This program is
designed to help expecting graduates who are in need of a prom dress, tuxedo,
shoes, accessories, and other graduate memorabilia. These are the students whose families are not financially able to afford the costs. We are able to keep this program running successfully by your generous donations and clothing contributions to help those who are in need.
How does this program work?
We do a survey of the local high schools in the MD, DC & VA and select two high schools with the most request for assistance. These are the students whose families are not financially able to purchase all or some of the items needed for prom or graduation.
The STBA Association will collect items from the public and prior students (prom gowns, purses, suits, shoes and some accessories) who have already decided to donate these items back to help another student for upcoming year. We will host a give-away by scheduling a date and time with the school to distribute each item as needed.
In our efforts to assure that each student has what he or she needs to wear, we request that the school match our donation with: prom tickets, year book, or photo package for each student that participates.
