What is the SSD Program?
The SSD Program is a program that was started in August 2008
and was designed to give back to our seniors citizens in nursing homes, senior living facilities and to assist the elderly community programs. The SSD Program give back in many ways during the summer season by providing activities,
food, music and other vending opportunities for free. We are able to do this by your generous $2.00 donations and by the contributions of our affiliates. It is a
fun filled day where the staff & faculty, residents and their families are
all welcome to enjoy the entire festivities provided by the STBA Team Leaders
and Members.
What does the STBA Association do to give back?
We provide a BBQ Cookout for the facility, which we will
host a variety of activities, including music and games to help generate the
excitement. We also get very actively involved with the residents to make
sure they are having a great time. With your kind contribution to this
program and our efforts to put it all together, we are able to give them back a
little happiness and fun that is remembered for a lifetime! This program
is all generated through your kind contributions and volunteer assistance.
How this program works?
We ask all STBA Association members and our affiliates to
help us host this event yearly. We contact multiple facilities during the
month of June each year, and ask if the facility would like to participate in
this program. We submit a small application with the events coordinator
for that facility, which is then given back to us for processing. After
all applicants have submitted their information by the deadline, we then select
the two of group of applicants, which we will host in the month of August.
How can I help give back to the seniors in this program?
You can make a generous contribution by accessing our "Membership
& Payment" page make a monetary gift to support this program.
This will assist us in purchasing the items needed to host the BBQ
Cookout. You can also contact us through our "Contact Us"
page and send us a notification if you would like to contribute food or other
items to this program.
Can I participate in this program as a volunteer?
This is a public opportunity and ALL are welcome to
participate in this program. We encourage you to submit a request to us
through our "Contact Us" page or send a request to: sisterstogether@live.com, Ms.Tracy
Holland, and indicate in the message box that you would like to volunteer your
services.
How can I give back to this program as a business owner
or vendor?

request and we will provide additional information regarding your
